Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation and Support: Provide safe and reliable transportation for foster children to medical appointments, social events, and other activities, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Case Management: Assist social workers in maintaining accurate records, gathering information, and developing case plans to support the best interests of children and families.
  • Communication and Interpretation: Serve as a liaison between children, families, and social workers, providing interpretation services as needed to facilitate effective communication.
  • Home Evaluations and Training: Assist in conducting home evaluations, renewals, and training activities to ensure the safety and well-being of children in foster care.
  • Post-Foster Care Support: Provide support and guidance to families and children after they have left foster care, ensuring a smooth transition and continued support.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Associate's degree in human services or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. One year of experience in child welfare or refugee resettlement is preferred.
  • Driver's License and Vehicle: Valid unrestricted driver's license with a good driving record and reliable transportation suitable for transporting children.
