Music Therapist Job Description

Brunswick Hospital Center, a leading psychiatric hospital in the NY Metropolitan region, is seeking a skilled Music Therapist to join our team. As a Music Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing music therapy services to patients, promoting their recovery and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individual and group music therapy sessions to meet patients' needs and goals.
  • Provide music therapy, psychotherapy, and counseling services to patients.
  • Curate a therapeutic environment that fosters creativity, socialization, and promotes physical and mental health.
  • Assess patients' progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Music Therapy, Board Certified (MT-BC) and New York State License or limited permit eligibility to practice Music Therapy required.
