Position Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing sales and optimizing the utilization of Mitutoyo America products through various activities including product demonstrations, training sessions, and addressing technical inquiries. You will also oversee product inventory and ensure the functionality of metrology center equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist clients and Mitutoyo America staff with product applications, troubleshooting, and tailored product suggestions.

2. Develop and implement training programs on both new and existing products for clients and Mitutoyo America personnel as directed by the regional manager.

3. Conduct product demonstrations and respond to technical inquiries from clients and Mitutoyo America staff.

4. Provide telephone technical support to clients and Mitutoyo America personnel, documenting and reporting support activities as necessary.

5. Maintain communication with various Mitutoyo America departments to stay updated on new products and advancements in existing offerings.

6. Organize and maintain reference libraries of product operation manuals, assisting clients and Mitutoyo America personnel in obtaining necessary reference materials.

7. Conduct and manage product inventories.

8. Ensure that metrology center products are functional and up-to-date.

9. Collaborate with sales personnel to date and rotate products annually, promoting the sale of outdated items.

10. Uphold the appearance and cleanliness of the facility.

11. Prepare and submit required reports promptly.

12. Participate in Mitutoyo America and distributor trade shows.

13. Attend regional meetings and engage in sales training and product knowledge sessions as required.

14. Organize and conduct showroom open houses, seminars, and workshops.

15. Assist with sales calls as necessary.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment: Office environment and showroom floor.

Physical Requirements: The individual in this role must occasionally move within the office to access file cabinets and office machinery, and may need to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 lbs. Use of hand trucks and reach lifts may be required.

Additional Qualifications: Forklift certification is required.

Position Type and Expected Hours: This is a full-time position with expected hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Travel Requirements: Up to 25% travel may be necessary, with an average of up to 5 hours of driving at one time.

Required Education and Experience: A two-year degree or equivalent education, along with specialized training and three years of relevant experience.
