Job Title: Occupational Therapist Assistant

Alternate Solutions Health Network LLC is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team in Kansas City, Missouri.

About the Role:

We are dedicated to providing high-quality patient care and are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented individual to support our interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide skilled occupational therapy as ordered by the attending physician and observe and monitor patient conditions and notify the Occupational Therapist of any changes in the patient's condition.
  • Assess functional problems and provide intervention and, in conjunction with the occupational therapist, work toward goals to improve patient functional status.
  • Counsel patient and family on the disease/injury and how to manage in all phases of occupational therapy.
  • Instruct patient and family members on proper use of equipment such as wheelchairs, braces, walkers, crutches, canes, and other prosthetic/orthotic devices.
  • Complete all clinical documentation following agency protocol and Medicare/Federal guidelines.
  • Understand and follow agency policies, procedures, rules, and regulations and communicate changes in schedule/availability to schedulers or supervisors.
