Job Title: Occupational Therapist Assistant

Alternate Solutions Health Network LLC is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team in Kansas City, Missouri.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Occupational Therapist Assistant to provide high-quality care to our patients. As an OTA, you will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized plans of care, ensuring our patients receive the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide skilled occupational therapy services as ordered by the attending physician, observing and monitoring patient conditions and notifying the Occupational Therapist of any changes.
  • Assess functional problems and provide intervention to improve patient functional status, working collaboratively with the Occupational Therapist to achieve goals.
  • Counsel patients and families on disease/injury management and instruct on proper use of equipment, such as wheelchairs, braces, walkers, crutches, canes, and other prosthetic/orthotic devices.
  • Complete all clinical documentation following agency protocol and Medicare/Federal guidelines.
  • Understand and follow agency policies, procedures, rules, and regulations, communicating changes in schedule/availability to schedulers or supervisors.
Requirements:
  • Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) with current license in the state of employment.
  • Minimum one-year experience as a OTA in an acute care setting, with home care experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance in your name as a driver.
  • Capable of all physical demands.
