Job Title: Occupational Therapist Assistant

Alternate Solutions Health Network LLC is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team in North Kansas City, Missouri.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Occupational Therapist Assistant to provide high-quality care to our patients in a home-based setting. As an OTA, you will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized plans of care, ensuring our patients receive the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide skilled occupational therapy services as ordered by the attending physician, observing and monitoring patient conditions and notifying the Occupational Therapist of any changes.
  • Assess functional problems and provide intervention to improve patient functional status, working in conjunction with the Occupational Therapist to achieve goals.
  • Counsel patients and families on disease/injury management and instruct on proper use of equipment, such as wheelchairs, braces, walkers, crutches, canes, and other prosthetic/orthotic devices.
  • Complete all clinical documentation following agency protocol and Medicare/Federal guidelines.
  • Understand and follow agency policies, procedures, rules, and regulations, communicating changes in schedule/availability to schedulers or supervisors.
Requirements:
  • Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) with current license in the state of employment.
  • Minimum one-year experience as a OTA in an acute care setting, with home care experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance in your name as a driver.
  • Capable of all physical demands.
