As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of Instrumentation and Control (I&C) cabinets and associated electro-mechanical hardware components and subassemblies.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the design and delivery of I&C cabinets and associated electro-mechanical hardware components and subassemblies.
- Ensure that hardware designs and project documentation meet applicable system and quality requirements.
- Issue hardware design documentation, including system architecture drawings, network layouts, cabinet or panel drawings, cable and wiring schematics, and PCB layout/schematics.
- Manage Bill of Materials and revision control of design packages.
- Compile technical and quality documentation for procurement, design, testing, and manufacturing of I&C hardware products.
- Work closely with manufacturing operations to resolve issues, provide oversight, and ensure products are in accordance with build-to-print drawing packages and specifications.
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
- Strong working knowledge of analog and digital circuit analysis/design.
- Knowledge of typical industry standard drawings, including P&ID drawings, loop diagrams, schematics, cabinet drawings, and panel layouts.
- Knowledge of field devices and control devices typical to the power industry.
- Knowledge of lab equipment use, including oscilloscope, multimeter, function generator, etc.
- Knowledge of codes and standards applicable to the nuclear industry, including IEEE, IEC, Regulatory Guides, etc.
- Strong experience in CAD/CAE software, including AutoCAD Electrical/Inventor.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
- Experience with network and data acquisition systems, including servers, workstations, controllers, and Input/Output modules.
- Experience with Emerson Ovation control systems.
- Strong leadership skills to support complex and dynamic project execution.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with both internal and external customers.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to gather and analyze input, evaluate alternatives, and make effective decisions.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team, including engineering, testing, manufacturing, supply chain management, and suppliers.
