About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled System Security Engineer to join our Cyber Architecture & Engineering team at State Street. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our digital footprint.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain secure configuration best practices across all State Street ITAM assets.
- Establish and maintain secure baseline configurations for all IT assets.
- Develop and implement custom solutions using technologies like Chef Inspec, shell scripting, and other automation tools.
- Conduct risk assessments based on the NIST framework for critical assets.
- Develop and maintain security guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to promote software and platform configuration best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven technical solutioning experience with current and emerging technologies, including Agile Development, DevOps, System Hardening, and DevSecOps.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Deep experience with cloud DevOps tooling, container native systems, and associated security and scaling considerations.
- Experience working with Kubernetes autoscaling tools and container and cloud security principles.
- Security+ or other cybersecurity or network security certification.
