The Lifestyle Director serves as the community's ambassador, fostering connections among residents through a variety of events. This position demands a self-driven, detail-oriented professional capable of managing multiple daily tasks effectively. Collaboration with a diverse range of community stakeholders, including management teams, boards of directors, and residents, is essential. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in lifestyle program management, with a preference for those familiar with programming for 55+ communities.

As many events occur during weekends, evenings, and holidays, the Lifestyle Director must be prepared to plan, coordinate, and attend these functions, in addition to handling regular office responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing, promoting, and executing a diverse array of events, activities, classes, sports, wellness programs, and fitness opportunities.
  • Implementing a thorough communications strategy.
  • Establishing partnerships and sponsorships with local businesses and organizations.
  • Recruiting and managing volunteers.
  • Overseeing and scheduling community facilities.
  • Maintaining an engaging community website.
  • Creating a community newsletter.
  • Actively seeking and managing advertising and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Managing program budgets effectively.
  • Serving as a resource for homeowners.
  • Overseeing operations of resident clubs.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience as a Lifestyle Director or in a related event management role is highly preferred.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to maintain productivity under pressure.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift or move items weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Leadership qualities.
  • Strong multitasking abilities.
  • Attention to detail.
Compensation and Benefits:

This is a full-time position, with a schedule that includes weekdays, nights, and some weekends and holidays. The starting salary is $60,000 annually, based on relevant experience.
