Primary Care Physician

Position Overview:
As a Family Practice Physician within the Defense Health Agency, you will operate under established policies and guidelines, ensuring high-quality care for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize independent judgment to provide professional diagnosis, treatment, referral, and patient disposition.
- Deliver a broad range of services, including examination, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment across various medical fields such as surgical, obstetric, gynecological, and orthopedic care.
- Assume full responsibility for the health management of an assigned patient panel.
Patient Care:
- Offer first-contact, continuous, and comprehensive primary care for individuals of all ages, adhering to current care standards and relevant regulations.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team dedicated to the ongoing care of patients.
Care Coordination:
- Integrate and coordinate care across all healthcare system elements, including subspecialty services, hospitals, home health agencies, and community resources.
Documentation and Education:
- Complete all required medical records in accordance with specified procedures.
- Provide teaching and consultation to fellow healthcare providers as necessary.
- Engage in Continuing Medical Education (CME) and quality assurance initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be a Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Doctor, with or without US residency, and possess a current US work visa.
