Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Registration Interviewer to join our team at Christus Health. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient patient registration process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer practice phones and schedule patient appointments in a timely and professional manner.
  • Accurately register arriving patients for appointments and gather all necessary information, including demographic and insurance details.
  • Scan and receive required documents into patient accounts, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Fax notifications to insurance companies as needed.
  • Pre-register patients via phone calls and ensure prompt services with a professional and kind attitude.
  • Request medical records for new and referred patients, verifying insurance authorizations and referrals prior to patient visits.
  • Update patient information regularly, including address, phone number, and insurance details.
  • Ensure all front office forms are updated and copied, including new patient packets and patient charts.
  • Collect patient co-payments and outstanding balances at the time of service and post to accounts and daily logs.
  • Balance designated cash drawers at the end of each shift.
  • Assist patients with general insurance, billing, and other inquiries related to their accounts or referred to certified patient tech.
  • Comply with established Policies and Procedures, including dress code and parking regulations.
  • Prepare charts for patient visits according to protocols.
Requirements

Education

High School diploma or equivalent required.

Licenses & Certifications

C-Heartsaver certification preferred.
