  • Adhere to all operational standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient kitchen practices.
  • Comply with all certification requirements relevant to the position, including Food Handlers Safety.
  • Exhibit a warm and welcoming demeanor at all times.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of menus and preparation techniques in accordance with hotel standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all storage areas.
  • Prepare food and station setups prior to service to ensure prompt and efficient guest service.
  • Prepare and present buffet items following established hospitality standards.
  • Work efficiently on the kitchen line during service hours to fulfill food orders while maintaining quality and productivity.
  • Prepare food for Banquets as specified in Banquet Event Orders.
  • Assist in food preparation for the Employee Cafeteria as directed by leadership.
  • Follow standard recipes for all food preparations, with special items prepared under the guidance of restaurant leadership.
  • Properly store and break down buffet and kitchen line items at the end of service.
  • Be knowledgeable about the location and operation of fire safety equipment.
  • Practice safe work habits to prevent injuries to oneself and colleagues.
  • Familiarize oneself with hotel policies and emergency procedures.
  • Utilize Production Charts as per hospitality standards.
  • Maintain attentiveness and courtesy towards guests, managers, and fellow associates.
  • Operate and maintain cleanliness of all kitchen equipment.
  • Adhere to the 'Clean As You Go' policy.
  • Assist in the storage and rotation of food items according to hotel procedures.
  • Participate in required meetings and perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred, along with experience in a hotel or related field.
  • Food Handlers Certification required as per state regulations.
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly.
  • Quickly evaluate and select among alternative courses of action.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
