About the Job:

As a Healthcare Support Professional at CommuCon LLC, you will play a critical role in supporting our healthcare team in providing high-quality patient care. In this role, you will assist nurses and other healthcare professionals in delivering direct patient care, including taking and recording vital signs, performing basic nursing procedures under supervision, and assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and feeding patients. You will also be responsible for collecting specimens for laboratory testing and monitoring patients' condition, reporting any changes to the nursing staff. Additionally, you will help maintain a clean and safe patient environment and follow proper aseptic technique to prevent infection transmission.

The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Previous experience as a nursing assistant or similar role is preferred but not required. Familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy is beneficial, as is knowledge of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality. Experience with electronic health record systems such as Epic is a plus. This is a contract position with negotiable salary, approximately $45,000 per year, based on location and experience. The expected hours are 40 per week, with benefits including 401(k), dental insurance, flexible schedule, health insurance, paid time off, and vision insurance. The physical setting is a nursing home, with a standard shift of evening hours. Supplemental schedules include overtime, and the weekly schedule is 5x8. Work is done in-person.
