Position Summary
As a Clinical Nursing Supervisor, you will oversee and assess the performance of clinical personnel, including Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Medical Assistants (MAs), and Clinical Care Assistants (CCAs). Your role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of daily clinic functions while maintaining optimal staffing levels. You will provide comprehensive nursing assessments, patient support, counseling, and direct care within an outpatient environment. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals and support services is essential in this position.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supervise clinical staff and assist in evaluating clerical personnel.
2. Coordinate daily operations of the clinic to ensure efficient workflow.
3. Engage in the development and implementation of clinic-specific policies, protocols, and care pathways.
4. Monitor budgetary compliance and assist in financial planning.
5. Uphold mandatory regulatory policies and procedures under the guidance of the management team.
Qualifications
Essential Education and Experience:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and hold a current Registered Nurse license.
- A minimum of three years of experience in ambulatory care or hospital settings is required.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in directing the work of others is necessary.
- Prior supervisory experience or formal training in supervision is preferred.
- The ideal candidate should exhibit initiative, multitasking abilities, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential.
Licensure and Certification:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained at the earliest opportunity upon employment.
