Job Summary
Audiologists play a vital role in identifying and addressing hearing disorders. As a Diagnostic Audiologist at Medstar, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive audiological evaluations and providing personalized recommendations for patients with hearing impairments.

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled audiologist with expertise in diagnostic testing, hearing aid selection, and patient counseling. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of audiology principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The primary duties of this role include:
  • Conducting diagnostic audiological evaluations, including infant hearing screenings and vestibular assessments.
  • Selecting and fitting patients with assistive listening devices, hearing aids, and amplification systems.
  • Counseling patients on test results and making appropriate recommendations.
  • Providing family counseling on aspects of hearing and balance disorders.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Master's degree in Audiology, licensure as an Audiologist in Maryland or the District of Columbia, and certification by the American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association. At least 2 years of progressively more responsible job-related experience is preferred.
