Full-time commitment with 3 rotating 12-hour shifts, primarily night shifts.
Work Schedule:
Rotating schedule including weekends.
Team Structure:
Support from Lead APRNs and APRN Director.
Patient Load:
Care for 6-10 patients daily.
Patient Demographics:
Focus on infants, children, and families dealing with critical health issues.
Department Overview:
Our 46-bed Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MSICU) caters to a diverse range of medical and surgical patients from newborns to young adults. The unit specializes in managing complex cases, including those requiring advanced interventions shortly after birth.
Electronic Medical Records:
Utilizing Cerner for patient documentation.
Required Skills:
Expertise in frontline care and coordination for critically ill patients in the MSICU, encompassing assessment, diagnosis, pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments, bedside procedures, and family-centered care.
