Cardiac Intensive Care Unit Advanced Practice Provider

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pediatric Cardiac Care Specialist to join our team in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) at Boston Children's Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional care to infants, children, and adults with congenital and acquired heart disease.
Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive care to critically ill cardiac patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of their condition.
- Collaborate with the CICU Attending physician to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Participate in CICU medical rounds, including presentation of clinical information and plan development.
- Manage ventilators, inotropic support, ECMO, CVVH, and emergency situations.
- Perform procedures such as intubation and central lines.
- A graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- A minimum of 1 year of critical care RN, NP, or PA experience.
- Possess a solid medical knowledge base for cardiopulmonary critical care medicine with an interest in congenital cardiac anomalies.
- Possess critical thinking skills and adaptability on a busy cardiac intensive care unit.
- Communication skills to work collaboratively with medical and surgical colleagues, staff, and trainees.
- A current license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
