Medical Laboratory Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team as a Supervisor. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our laboratory section, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies, and promoting a culture of excellence and professionalism.
Responsibilities- Coordinate daily laboratory operations, including supervising and training staff, overseeing performance improvement and quality control programs, and ensuring fiscal responsibility.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to identify and resolve operational issues, and provide guidance and support to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all laboratory staff are trained and competent in their roles, and that they adhere to established policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or a related field.
- 4 years of training and experience in high-complexity testing in a laboratory setting.
- Current license or temporary license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist-Generalist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist-Specialist in the state of practice.
- Meets CLIA and CAP requirements for testing personnel relative to scope of duties.
- ASCP certification as a Medical Technologist.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
- Current license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist-Specialist in the state of practice.
- Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and troubleshoot equipment.
The incumbent will work in a laboratory setting, with occasional travel to other facilities. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care.
