Position Overview:

JobsRUs is seeking a dedicated Shipping and Receiving Clerk. The compensation will be determined based on your experience level.

Work Schedule:
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:
As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will be essential to the smooth functioning of our warehouse operations. Reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisor, your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Preparing orders for shipment, which involves packing, sealing, labeling, and applying postage.
  • Processing shipments according to established packaging standards and customer specifications.
  • Ensuring shipment accuracy by cross-referencing contents with relevant documentation such as manifests and invoices.
  • Maintaining accurate records of shipment data for compliance and reporting purposes.
  • Loading trucks with prepared materials and ensuring proper routing and documentation.
  • Conducting inventory checks and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Inspecting incoming and outgoing shipments for damages and reporting issues to supervisors.
  • Organizing storage of items and ensuring proper labeling for easy identification.
  • Utilizing warehouse equipment, including RF scanners, forklifts, and pallet jacks.
  • Preparing necessary documentation such as work orders and bills of lading.
  • Communicating with carrier representatives and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintaining an adequate supply of shipping materials.
  • Ensuring a clean and safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols.
  • Contributing to team efforts to meet departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Upholding the company’s mission and core values.
  • Complying with all company policies and procedures.
  • Assisting in the training of new employees.
  • Performing additional duties as required.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Preferred 2 years of relevant experience or training.
  • Forklift operation experience is required.
  • Ability to make quick decisions in a dynamic environment.
  • Capability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with Bills of Lading and Customs documentation is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods on a concrete surface.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged durations.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds from ground level to waist height.
  • Ability to perform job functions with reasonable accommodations.
  • Must pass a contagious disease screening.
