Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Greater Binghamton Health Center. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications and injections as prescribed by physicians
  • Perform tube feedings, hang IVs, and collect blood samples
  • Provide colostomy care and observe patients for changes in condition
  • Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
  • Prepare and apply simple dressings, bathe and feed patients, and care for their quarters

Requirements:

  • License and current registration to practice as a practical nurse in New York State
  • Previous psychiatric experience is not required, but candidates with experience in mental health settings are preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent patient care
