Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Greater Binghamton Health Center. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care, administer medications, and perform various medical procedures. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and injections as prescribed by physicians
  • Perform tube feedings, hang IVs, and collect blood samples
  • Provide colostomy care and observe patients for changes in condition
  • Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
  • Prepare and apply simple dressings, bathe, and feed patients
  • Care for patients and their quarters, including making beds, changing linen, and lifting/moving patients
Requirements:
  • License and current registration to practice as a practical nurse in New York State
  • Or Limited Permit to practice as a practical nurse in New York State
  • Or Application on file for a Limited Permit to practice as a practical nurse in New York State
