About the Opportunity

Duke Health System is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief of Physiatry to lead and grow the Interdepartmental Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). As a key member of the Duke Neurosurgery and Orthopaedic Surgery Departments, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the clinical, educational, and research activities of the division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the clinical, educational, and research activities of the division
  • Lead a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care for Duke's patients
  • Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, pediatricians, neurologists, primary care physicians, physical therapists, and chiropractors
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow and expand the Physiatry program
  • Contribute to clinical and research efforts within the Division

Requirements

  • Board certification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
  • At least 5 years of Physiatry and/or leadership experience
  • Clinical and/or academic interest in any Physiatry subspecialty
