POSITION SUMMARY
The Beverage Service Specialist is tasked with delivering a service experience that embodies warmth, kindness, and a touch of Old-World Hospitality for our esteemed guests. This role requires maintaining exceptional cleanliness standards in accordance with food service sanitation regulations. The Specialist will possess comprehensive menu knowledge, efficiently take guest orders, anticipate their needs, deliver orders promptly, and handle payments with precision. The focus remains on achieving departmental objectives of Consistency, Quality, and a Sense of Urgency.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
The following responsibilities are indicative of the role but are not exhaustive:
  • Deliver prompt, efficient, and friendly service for all beverage orders.
  • Accurately input each order into the Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Adhere to alcohol awareness training and policies.
  • Prepare drink setups and ensure proper garnishing.
  • Collect used glassware promptly.
  • Maintain a balanced server bank as required.
  • Attend pre-shift meetings punctually with a positive demeanor.
  • Consistently create an engaging atmosphere and provide World-Class Service, reflecting the core values of the casino.
  • Follow departmental standards and guidelines, including Food Service and Sanitation, OSHA, and Hazcom protocols.
  • Provide high-quality beverage service to all guests by adhering to the established sequence of service.
  • Utilize upselling techniques effectively.
  • Operate the POS system as per training.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of menus.
  • Maintain cleanliness by addressing spills immediately.
  • Use chemicals responsibly and ensure proper labeling.
  • Assist supervisors with supply organization and adhere to 5S Principles.
  • Exhibit a gracious and professional demeanor that positively reflects the company’s values.
  • Be available to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, due to the dynamic nature of the sports calendar.
  • Have a foundational understanding of sports wagering and related terminology to enhance guest service in the Sportsbook lounge.
  • Deliver service in alignment with management standards.
  • Present a neat and professional appearance at all times.
  • Possess working knowledge of InfoGenesis.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be capable of:
  • Accurately performing calculations and mathematical functions relevant to business needs.
  • Interpreting and executing a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
  • Resolving conflicts and issues in a diplomatic manner.
  • Being flexible to work all shifts, including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as required.
  • Being physically mobile, with the ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 40 lbs., and perform various physical tasks in diverse work environments.
  • Thriving in a fast-paced, high-volume Food and Beverage operation.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in food or beverage service is preferred. Candidates should be able to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, regulations, and business correspondence. Attention to detail and accuracy is essential, along with the ability to maintain confidentiality. A minimum of 2 years of experience in an upscale, high-volume establishment is required. Knowledge of sports, menus, and beverages is necessary. Teamwork with fellow staff members is crucial.

COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
