SLPA New Orleans Therapist

As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, you will collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists to execute treatment plans and interventions aimed at addressing speech, language, and communication goals. This role requires a strong foundation in communication sciences and disorders, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists to develop and implement treatment plans
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to acquire pertinent information about students' speech and language capabilities
- Administer individual or group therapy sessions to students under the guidance of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Implement diverse therapeutic techniques and exercises to enhance speech production, articulation, language comprehension, and expressive language skills
- Assist students in developing and refining social communication skills
- Educate students and their families on strategies and techniques to enhance communication beyond therapy sessions
- Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field
- Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) from a recognized certifying organization
- Previous experience working with individuals with communication disorders is preferred
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
