Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery to join our team at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. The successful candidate will be a board-certified/board-eligible Orthopaedic Surgeon with a strong background in Sports Medicine.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the clinical education of medical students, residents, and fellows
  • Provide outpatient and inpatient consultative services in a Sports Medicine practice at the UPHS Health System and the VA Medical Center hospitals
  • Conduct clinical or orthopaedic basic science research and contribute to the development of new treatments and therapies
  • Engage in teaching and mentoring activities to support the growth and development of junior faculty members
Requirements
  • MD or MD/Ph.D. degree or equivalent
  • Board certification/board eligibility by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery
  • Strong background in Sports Medicine and orthopaedic surgery
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
