Key Responsibilities- Assist with Daily Living Needs: Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including dressing, grooming, and hygiene, while promoting resident independence.
- Engage with Residents: Interact with residents at all levels of care, showing empathy, kindness, and respect, and encouraging socialization and engagement.
- Monitor and Report Changes: Observe and report any changes in a resident's health or emotional well-being to the supervisor.
- Support Daily Operations: Assist with meal service, light housekeeping, and laundry duties, and maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Participate in Leisure Activities: Initiate and participate in leisure activities, such as games, arts, and crafts, to promote resident engagement and enjoyment.
- Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues, and respond promptly to resident requests and concerns.
- Ensure Resident Safety: Ensure the safety and security of residents, families, and colleagues, and report any safety hazards or concerns to the supervisor.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, and one to two years of experience in a care-related field.
- Language Ability: Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense and problem-solving skills to resolve issues and concerns.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds, and perform other physical demands of the job.
