Strategic Talent Partner for Global Shared Services

About This OpportunityWe are seeking a Strategic Talent Partner for our Global Shared Services team in Chicago, Illinois. As a key member of our People Business Partners team, you will report directly to the Chief People Officer for Shared Services and Aon Business Services (ABS). Your primary focus will be to provide strategic talent support to our Global Shared Services leadership teams, ensuring they have the necessary resources and expertise to drive business success.
Key Responsibilities- Influencing leaders on people-related matters to foster a strong culture of inclusion, courage, connection, and accountability.
- Translating business goals into recommendations to improve operating model implementation, team structures, team, and leader effectiveness.
- Developing workforce plans for each unit supported, encouraging leaders to find new ways of utilizing talent to meet SIB and expense budgets.
- Cultivating partnerships with Center of Excellences (COEs) to innovate and design solutions to improve engagement and performance, representing client voices.
- Embedding inclusion into all talent processes, coaching senior leaders and their teams on inclusive leadership, demonstrating I&D frameworks and COE guidance.
- Ensuring annual cycle activities (performance, talent, compensation, and engagement) across designated client groups result in favorable outcomes for retention, engagement, performance, and talent management.
- Demonstrating comprehensive understanding of people organization programs and strategies, partnering with COEs to facilitate communication, change management, and adoption.
- 10+ years of professional HR experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant industry experience.
- Expertise in organizational effectiveness, HR strategy, performance management, conflict management, talent management, employee engagement, communication, and workforce planning.
- Proven relationship management skills across levels.
- Knowledge of US employment laws and current People trends.
- Ability to interpret data and translate into key trends/themes.
- Proficient in MS Office, with expertise in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Preferred experience in business partner, specialist, or other HR/People Organizations related roles.
- Workday experience preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 25% annually if needed.
- A competitive salary range of $135,000 - $200,000 annually, based on education, experience, skills, and internal equity.
