Job Overview

Priority Groups is seeking a dedicated Childcare Support Professional to join our team in mid-town Manhattan. As a Youth Growth Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in providing personalized care to children in both one-on-one and small group settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attending to the physical and emotional needs of children based on their level of dependence.
  • Accompanying and chaperoning children during travel to various locations.
  • Supervising and assisting children during mealtimes.
  • Promptly referring children to medical staff at the first sign of illness.
  • Guiding children in personal hygiene routines.
  • Encouraging learning, skill development, and positive behavior patterns.
  • Providing companionship and engagement through conversations, reading, and recreation.
  • Ensuring a clean and safe environment for children.
  • Supporting children during field trips and outings.
  • Encouraging rest and maintaining discipline.
  • Engaging children in meaningful activities both onsite and off-site.

Working Conditions:

The ideal candidate will work within our innovative "POD" rooms alongside another dedicated childcare worker, caring for 3-6 children per shift. Our relief position offers flexible scheduling with options for Tuesday through Saturday (Sunday/Monday off) or Sunday through Thursday (Friday/Saturday off).

Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary package based on experience, with estimated pay ranging from $16.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on shifts and qualifications. New Employees (First 90 Days): $16.00 per hour. After 90 Days: Weekend Shifts (Saturday/Sunday): $22.00/hour, Day Shift (7:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.): $20.00/hour, Night Shift (12:00 am-8:00 am): $20.50/hour, Evening Shift (4:00 pm-12:00 am): $20.75/hour, Holidays: $25.00/hour. Incentive Plan: A $300 bonus will be awarded after each 13-week assignment, contingent upon attendance and evaluations.
