About the RoleWe are excited to offer a Corporate Film Public Relations Coordinator/Account Executive position at DDA Public Relations in Los Angeles. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented group of professionals in the film and entertainment industry.

This role is ideal for someone with excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a passion for public relations. You will be responsible for supporting the President and corporate PR team in developing and executing PR plans and strategies for corporate clients.

We are looking for a creative and proactive individual with at least 2+ years of experience in the industry. If you have a keen interest in the field and possess great writing, attention to detail, and strong organizational and research skills, we encourage you to apply.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Support the President in determining client expectations and develop strategies based on their input and goals.
  2. Establish overall positioning across DDA's corporate clients.
  3. Draft press releases ensuring on-point communications and support approval processes.
  4. Field inquiries and pursue coverage in the trades and consumer press.
  5. Build and maintain close trade and press relationships, ensuring that DDA clients are top of mind.
  6. Support new client directives and expectations.
  7. Anticipate industry changes and develop creative solutions.
  8. Assist with press clippings: monitoring trade publications and key outlets for breaks and report coverage for corporate clients and festival films.
  9. Support the team in all aspects of client servicing.
  10. Develop connections with journalists and media sources.
  11. Track publicity items in newspapers/trades/etc.; follow and review industry news and trade press daily.
  12. Track social media content streams and trends.
  13. Attend and take notes during group brainstorm and new business development meetings.
  14. Provide research support for new business pitches.
  15. Participate in weekly touch bases with the team.

Requirements:

  • BS/BA in Public Relations, Communications, or relevant field.
  • 2+ years of experience in the industry.
  • Success in multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional, proactive, and personable demeanor.
  • Self-motivated, self-starter, takes initiative and follows-through.
  • Effective listening, strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management skills and work ethic.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Salary Information:$66,560 per annum, dependent on experience level.
