Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Providence Alaska Medical Center. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading our team of nurses in delivering high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and supervise new staff members in a clinical setting, ensuring a smooth transition and effective onboarding process.
  • Act as a clinical resource, providing guidance and expertise to nurses and other healthcare professionals.
  • Facilitate a collaborative approach to patient care, working with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Develop and implement clinical standards of practice, ensuring excellence in nursing care and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Conduct patient care consultations and provide resources to assess the impact of best practices on patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Master's degree from a clinical nurse specialist program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).
  • Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • Current certification in area of specialty.
  • 3 years Registered Nursing experience in area of specialty.
  • 2 years Clinical Leadership responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CNS certification in area of specialty upon hire.
