The Playing Field Madison is dedicated to nurturing children by first nurturing our educators.
We are expanding our team and seeking Senior Early Childhood Educators for our East Madison locations.
Since 2015, The Playing Field has been committed to serving children and families from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, including those affected by homelessness, alongside families from more privileged circumstances.
We provide a collaborative environment with comprehensive training and coaching, ensuring low child-to-teacher ratios. Our distinctive approach offers a meaningful opportunity for professionals eager to impact vulnerable children and families while advancing their careers. Our program emphasizes strong relationships, pairing the same educator with the same children for extended periods. We also offer pathways for career advancement as we continue to grow and seek dedicated educators who wish to evolve with us.
In addition to competitive compensation, we provide a $1000 sign-on bonus upon successful completion of the probationary period, along with annual retention bonuses of $1000 or more. We offer health, dental, and vision insurance, a Simple IRA with a 3% employer match, and both short-term and long-term disability insurance for staff working 30 hours or more weekly. Additionally, our staff enjoys 20 days of paid time off each year, plus 9 paid holidays.
Applicants for the Lead Teacher position should possess an associate or bachelor's degree in early childhood education. All candidates must demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and a willingness to learn. A strong commitment to excellence in early care and education is essential. A certificate from The Wisconsin Registry is required; we will assist candidates in obtaining this certification during the later stages of the hiring process.
