Job Title: Registered Nurse - Long Term Care

South Peninsula Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Long Term Care team. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to our residents, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide skilled nursing assessments and direct care to residents
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each resident
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Supervise and coordinate care provided by assigned staff
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care
Requirements:
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska
  • Minimum of one year experience in Gerontology, preferably in a Long Term Care facility
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
