Critical Care RN for Teaching Hospital

Epic Travel Staffing is seeking a skilled Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our team at a renowned teaching hospital in Washington D.C. As a member of our travel nursing program, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team and gain valuable experience in a high-acuity setting.
Compensation:
The estimated weekly rate for this position is $1,994, based on qualifications and experience. This figure applies to travel positions only, with a minimum distance of 50 miles from your permanent address.
Job Description:
This Critical Care RN role offers the opportunity to work in a short-term acute care environment, providing exceptional patient care in a Level 1 Trauma Center. The unit is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including Cerner charting, and has a total staffed bed capacity of 748. As a Critical Care RN, you will be responsible for managing patients with complex medical conditions, including those who require telemetry monitoring and ventilation support.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you must possess a DC license and have at least 2 years of experience in a high-acuity unit. Post-operative experience is highly desirable, as is ACLS and BLS certification. Additionally, a background in trauma care and knowledge of pulmonary artery lines are preferred skills. You will also be required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity and participate in a rotating call schedule with no requirements for day/night shifts unless specified for night shifts.
