Job Opportunity

Gessner Engineering LLC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Construction Materials Engineering and Testing/Geotechnical Intern. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of construction materials engineering and testing, while developing your skills and knowledge in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the team in field service requests and laboratory testing
  • Collaborate with peers to review and provide guidance on project direction
  • Draft reports for project managers and participate in team meetings
  • Work with department members and external consultants to coordinate projects
  • Provide regular project updates and forecasts to supervising project managers
Requirements
  • Ability to lift 50lbs, bend, and work in varying weather conditions
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • At least 18 years of age or older
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions
  • Basic computer operation skills and familiarity with internet-based programs
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Availability
  • Spring/Fall Interns: 16+ hours per week, minimum 4-hour increments
  • Summer Interns: 35+ hours per week
  • Must be enrolled in fewer than 16 academic credit hours
