Job Title: Screw Extrusion Setup

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Screw Extrusion Setup professional to join our team at Spiratex. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating all extrusion and downstream equipment, setting up production jobs, and ensuring the quality of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate all extrusion and downstream equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Set up production jobs and ensure efficient production processes.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and production process difficulties.
  • Perform minor die repairs and adjust machinery as needed.
  • Assist in the production development of new products and processes.
  • Train employees and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and hands-on thermoplastic extrusion experience.
  • Basic math skills, including general understanding of fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Working Conditions:

Requires considerable alertness while working with machines and tools with hot or moving parts. Moderate to loud noise levels in plant area with continuous grinding and banging and intermittent high-pitched noise from saws.
