Industrial Painter

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled Commercial-Industrial Painter to join our team in partnership with a prominent client in Romulus, MI. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for painting external and internal walls of residential modular homes using various painting methods.

• Paint external and internal walls of residential modular homes using paint sprayers and rollers.
• Collaborate with employees to understand work orders, prints, and sketches to ensure accurate completion of tasks.
• Estimate equipment, tool, and material requirements for each job to ensure efficient completion.
• Build, dismantle, and repair structures, walls, roofs, glass, and siding as assigned.
• Cut and shape structures, forms, or other fixtures from wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall.
• Prepare and dismantle scaffolding as needed.
• Operate all necessary tools to complete a job.
• Ensure tools and equipment are properly cleaned, stored, and maintained for optimum performance and safety.
• Join materials with the most appropriate nail, screw, staple, or adhesive.
• Ensure the accuracy of work by checking completed projects with tools such as rulers, levels, surveying equipment, or framing squares; correct problems as needed.
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding.
• Install windows, doors, cabinets, and fixtures.
• Adhere to local building and safety codes and guidelines.
• Measure, mark, and arrange materials to established layout based on blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
• Always adhere to safety protocols and follow policies and procedures.
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.

• High School Diploma or related field preferred.
• Three years' experience in commercial and industrial painting as well as the building trades field, previous experience working with diverse populations preferred.
• Certificates & Licenses: None.
