Step Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Step Technician to join our team at Capitol Supply & Service, a business unit of Style Crest Enterprises Inc. As a key member of our Step Department, you will be responsible for various work activities, including sawing material, constructing, and assembling steps, as well as preparing products for final disposition.

• Cut and assemble stringers in a jig from 2 to 4 steps by screwing them together.
• Lay out, position, align, and fit components together in a fixture jig boxes, plats, and sides.
• Utilize radial arm saws to cut parts for boxes, sides, and plats.
• Operate table saws to cut parts for boxes, corners, and enclosures.
• Perform quality checks on steps, including repairing any defects on finished products.
• Ensure a clean and organized work area, including the bathroom and warehouse.
• Follow all safety rules and procedures.
• Perform activities in accordance with work instructions.
• Other duties may be assigned by supervisor as needed.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Ability to work efficiently and safely to meet daily goals.
• Ability to read and use a tape measurement.
• Ability to use power tools and saws.
• Ability to follow direction and training on quality and safety.
