A Day in the Life of a Residential Mortgage Specialist Includes:
  • Proactively seeking new residential mortgage business and promoting our mortgage products to achieve established loan quality and ongoing production targets.
  • Building and maintaining a robust network of business relationships that serves as a recurring source of referrals for new mortgage lending opportunities.
  • Conducting interviews with potential borrowers to identify the appropriate lending product that meets their needs. Reviewing initial application submissions, including income, assets, and credit for accuracy and completeness. Analyzing financial and credit data, determining financing objectives, and advising borrowers on product/pricing policies and guidelines. Informing borrowers about the lending process and providing relevant contact information for lending staff.

Requirements:Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Three to five years of experience locally (DC, MARYLAND, AND VIRGINIA) and currently employed in the mortgage industry
  • Preferred active relationships with referral partners and an existing customer database
  • Experience originating FHA/VA/USDA loans is preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, and other applications.
