The Interventional Radiology Technician plays a crucial role in the assessment and management of both congenital and acquired organ and vascular conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine to advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within the Angio-Interventional radiology or Neuroradiology departments.
  • Provide efficient procedural support for a diverse range of patient interventions.
  • Operate imaging systems during specialized procedures.
  • Implement appropriate safety measures to minimize radiation exposure for patients, colleagues, and oneself.
  • Ensure adherence to quality assurance standards, maintaining an image quality assurance error rate of less than 5%.
  • Manage inventory effectively.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and education.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Compensation:
$57.62 per hour

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
Completion of an accredited Radiography program is required; an Associate's Degree in Radiography is preferred. Eligibility for ARRT (VI) certification is necessary.

Experience:
Prior experience is required; a minimum of 2 years in Interventional Radiology is preferred.

Licensure:
Registered Radiologic Technologist certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT R.T.) is required. ARRT (VI) certification must be obtained within one year of employment. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification is also required.

Physical Demands:
This position requires prolonged periods of standing and sitting, frequent bending and stooping, and extensive overhead reaching. Proficient communication, auditory, and visual skills are essential, along with attention to detail and the ability to write clearly. The role involves the capacity to lift, push, and pull weights as necessary.

Exposure to fumes, cold, heat, radiation, blood/body fluids, and infectious diseases may occur.
