About the Leasing Associate Role

The Leasing Associate will play a vital role in ensuring the property is maintained effectively, while also marketing the property and screening prospective tenants. This individual will maintain favorable relations with tenants, contribute to a positive atmosphere in the office, and portray a positive image of the company in their activities. They will oversee and coordinate the orientation of new tenants and assist with performing office management and clerical tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Presenting properties and provided amenities in a positive light to prospective tenants
  • Handling incoming calls and responding to in-person, phone, and email inquiries, which includes providing leasing information, making appointments, and creating and following up with maintenance requests
  • Processing applications and advertising available properties using a variety of media and promoting materials
  • Resident retention and assisting the Property Manager/Assistant Manager
  • Providing consistent Customer Service per the Atlantic Housing Foundation Way
  • Entering information into property software system and maintaining working knowledge of Fair Housing laws, rules, and regulations concerning apartment leasing and management
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Knowledge of Yardi and Microsoft Office (preferred)
  • Previous leasing experience (preferred)
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree a plus
