About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Navigation Center Service Representative to join our team at Community Health Centers of the Central Coast. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to our patients and internal staff.

Job Summary

The Navigation Center Service Representative will be responsible for handling high volumes of inbound calls, responding to patient inquiries, and scheduling appointments. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. If you possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and have experience working in a healthcare setting, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide exceptional customer service to all patients and staff using AIDET Standards
- Answer incoming calls in a courteous and professional manner, following pre-designed scripts when handling patient calls
- Handle high volumes of inquiries from patients and internal/external customers, dealing with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events
- Schedule, cancel, reschedule, and adhere to scheduling guidelines and frequency limitations
- Provide directions to CHCCC locations to clientele upon request
- Verify patient insurance in accordance with CHCCC guidelines and inform patients of the necessary information to apply for financial programs or health insurance options

- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum one year of customer service position preferably in a healthcare setting or completion of a Medical Assistant training program from an accredited school preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of patients or employees of organization

Benefits and Compensation

Our competitive salary range is $21.00 - $23.15 per hour, offering a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and opportunities for growth and professional development. We also provide annual health examination, Tuberculosis skin test clearance, proof of immunity to MMR, Varicella, and Hepatitis B, proof of Tdap vaccine, and flu vaccination during the current flu season.
