Job Summary
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at our Alma, NE facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized care to patients/residents. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN will collaborate with patients/residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to plan, implement, and evaluate care. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and a passion for working in a long-term care setting.
Responsibilities
The RN will be responsible for the coordination of care, patient/resident assessment, patient/resident education, and various other nursing interventions. The RN may also serve as a charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel. The RN will provide adequate assistance and support to delegates to ensure safe and reliable administration of patient/resident care. The RN will function within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in the state of practice and licensure.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a graduate degree from an accredited nursing program, including but not limited to, American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). A bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred. The ideal candidate will have one year of long-term care, subacute care, or medical/surgical experience. The RN must hold an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. The RN must also obtain and maintain required certifications and complete required CEU's and competency training.
