Poultry Science Professor

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team as an Assistant Professor of Poultry Science. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and extension activities in the Department of Poultry Science.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in poultry science
- Conduct research in poultry science, with a focus on extension and outreach
- Develop and implement extension programs in poultry science
- Collaborate with faculty and staff in the Department of Poultry Science and across the University of Georgia
The Department of Poultry Science at the University of Georgia is a leading institution in poultry science research and education. Our department has exceptional research and live bird facilities, including a hatchery, feed mill, and pilot-scale poultry processing facility. Opportunities for collaboration exist within the department and across the University of Georgia with units such as ecology, engineering, veterinary and biomedical sciences, poultry health and diagnostics as well as local USDA scientists that hold longstanding working relationships with departmental faculty.
RequirementsThe successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Poultry Science or a related field, with a strong background in teaching, research, and extension. The candidate should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
