Job Summary

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aviation Safety Inspector to join our team. As an Aviation Safety Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of air carriers and their operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct surveillance of air carriers to ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs)
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine their causes and make recommendations for improvement
  • Develop and implement safety programs to prevent accidents and incidents
  • Collaborate with air carriers, airports, and other stakeholders to ensure safe operations
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to air carriers and other stakeholders on safety-related matters
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience in air carrier operations or a related field
  • Knowledge of FARs and other relevant regulations
  • Ability to communicate effectively with air carriers, airports, and other stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions

This position requires frequent travel to air carrier facilities and airports. The selected candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
