Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Interview Specialist to join our team at Global TekMed Holdings, LLC. As a Medical Interview Specialist, you will play a critical role in conducting medical interviews with Veterans to complete Personal Assessment Questionnaires, simplifying complex medical terms, and analyzing the questionnaire to determine if the client qualifies. You will also be responsible for scheduling Veterans for medical interviews, adhering to all HIPAA regulations and guidelines, data entry, file management, and other administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct medical interviews with Veterans to complete Personal Assessment Questionnaires, ensuring accurate and thorough information is collected.
  • Simplify complex medical terms and ensure the Veteran understands each question, utilizing a remote access software system to complete the information.
  • Review all supporting medical evidence provided by the Veteran, following HIPAA guidelines when handling client personal information.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with affiliate companies assisting the Veterans, ensuring empathy, professionalism, and respect are maintained throughout the interview process.
  • Properly manage and maintain client files and all associated documentation, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is maintained.
  • Assist with developing new software to improve our process, ensuring efficient and effective workflows are implemented.
  • Audit department calls for quality assurance, ensuring high standards of quality and accuracy are maintained.
  • Onboard new hires, providing comprehensive training and support to ensure a smooth transition into the role.
  • Create weekly departmental and team progress reports, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and monitor departmental KPIs and team accountability, ensuring goals and objectives are met and exceeded.
Requirements

Work Experience
  • Previous medical field experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and software systems, with excellent typing skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex medical information to Veterans.
  • Ability to work independently at a fast pace, meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work, ensuring high-quality results are achieved.
Work Environment

  • Punctual and reliable, with the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Adaptable to change, with a flexible and proactive approach to work.
Minimal Education Requirements

High school degree: Similar Experience is a plus.

Pay Range: $20 - $25 per hour
