Position Summary

Roberts Civil Engineering is in search of a Civil Site Engineer with expertise in civil site operations and utility oversight for our Construction Services division.

This role will serve as the primary liaison for a select group of clients, ensuring that our high standards are consistently met and that client satisfaction remains a top priority.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct weekly evaluations of civil engineering projects (including roads, drainage systems, utilities, and grading)
  • Compile inspection reports that detail findings from site visits
  • Engage in communication with clients, contractors, surveyors, and engineering teams
  • Coordinate with relevant authorities (e.g., local jurisdictions, environmental protection agencies)
  • Address construction-related issues on-site
  • Facilitate project team coordination and participate in meetings
  • Perform additional related duties as required

This position offers a blend of office and fieldwork, providing a dynamic work experience.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil site construction
  • Proficiency in water and sewer pipeline installation
  • Experience with stormwater management and pipeline installation
  • Knowledge of erosion control practices and monitoring
  • Ability to assess existing asphalt conditions
  • Experience in asphaltic concrete paving
  • Background in road construction
  • Familiarity with concrete paving techniques
  • Experience in reviewing civil site construction plans

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong writing and communication abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Five or more years of experience in municipal or civil site projects
  • Capability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Survey experience is a plus (not mandatory)
  • AutoCAD knowledge is preferred (not required)
  • Authorization to work in the United States (required)

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds as necessary
  • Willingness to travel to various client sites and agencies as required
