We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Engineer-Roadways to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering highway projects throughout North Carolina and the Southeast region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performing interchange/highway design, roadway widening, roundabout/superstreet design, and low impact bridge replacement.
  • Producing construction bid plans and documents, writing roadway design reports, preparing construction cost estimates & design specifications, as well as coordinating with our clients.
  • Providing technical guidance and training to more junior staff as well as reviewing the work of more junior staff.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Transportation, or Structural Engineering or related discipline.
  • 3 years of related experience.
  • Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • EIT with the desire to achieve PE within 2 years.
  • Familiarity with NCDOT roadway design. Municipal roadway design a plus.
  • Strong preference for candidates with OpenRoads experience.
  • Microstation and Corridor Modeling experience.
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D experience a plus.
  • Experience with the development of construction bid documents for NCDOT and/or municipalities.
  • Technical writing experience including project special provisions, design reports, functional design reports, and technical memorandums.
