- Perform regular inspections and testing of fire alarm systems to identify and address any issues or defects.
- Design, install, and program fire alarm systems, ensuring they meet all relevant codes and regulations.
- Conduct fire extinguisher maintenance and inspections, ensuring they are functioning properly and meet all relevant codes and regulations.
- Perform fire sprinkler maintenance, service, testing, and inspection, ensuring they meet all relevant codes and regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure seamless operation of fire safety systems.
- Develop and implement procedures for fire safety system maintenance, testing, and inspection.
- Provide training and guidance to other staff members on fire safety systems and procedures.
- Two (2) years of experience working in a facilities organization or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing with campus departments at all levels, contractors, and design consultants.
- Ability to effectively interact with a diverse professional staff both independently and as a team member in a busy environment.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic calculations and reports.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to give clear written and oral instructions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Able to analyze problems, determine solutions, and make decisions based on analysis.
- Fingerprinting, background check, and physical examination required.
- University and/or Medical Center experience.
- Working knowledge of applicable building and safety codes.
- Demonstrated theoretical and working knowledge of Fire Safety inspection process.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
