Job Overview

Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Manager - Water & Wastewater to enhance our Water & Wastewater Group.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the effective management of designated projects and nurturing client relationships.
  • Engaging in marketing and client development, ensuring technical excellence, maintaining profitability, adhering to schedules, coordinating project teams, managing client communications, negotiating project scopes and fees, and assisting in billing and collections as necessary.
  • Fostering strong relationships with clients and promoting Timmons Group services that may extend beyond direct expertise, while maintaining regular communication with the Group Leader.
  • Managing multiple mid-sized and smaller projects concurrently.

Qualifications for the ideal candidate include:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, along with relevant work experience and professional registration (P.E.) in North Carolina or other states where Timmons Group operates.
  • 6 to 10 years of experience in civil engineering, particularly in Water/Wastewater or Infrastructure sectors.
  • Proficiency in designing and managing project components using relevant software, modeling, and CADD technology, as well as applying engineering principles to solve problems.
  • Ability to prepare specifications through research and equipment catalogs, ensuring proper material selection, installation, inspection, and payment processes.
  • Experience in developing engineering and construction cost estimates.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, staff, and internal design teams.
