Position Overview

  • Represent the organization at various meetings, briefings, and conferences, engaging with both internal and external stakeholders regarding proposed or sanctioned projects.
  • Assist the Civil Works Branch Chief in executing the program.
Employment Conditions
Appointment may be contingent upon a suitability or fitness determination following a comprehensive background investigation.
This role requires the submission of a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry and annually thereafter.

Qualifications
Who May Apply:
Applicants must meet one of the specified employment authority categories to be eligible for this position. You will need to identify the applicable category and provide documentation verifying your eligibility.

Experience Requirements:
Experience encompasses both paid and unpaid roles, including volunteer work through National Service programs and other organizations. All qualifying experience will be credited, including volunteer activities. Your resume must clearly outline your relevant experience. If qualifying based on education, transcripts will be required.

Specialized Experience:
Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience that includes:
  1. Supervising project managers or team members in the planning, design, and construction of complex civil works projects, such as levees, dams, or hydropower initiatives.
  2. Leading cross-functional teams to deliver intricate water resource management projects on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with policies and procedures.
  3. Advising senior leadership on challenging technical issues related to large civil works projects.

Additional Information
Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. Proof of U.S. Citizenship is required. A one-year trial/probationary period may be necessary. Direct deposit of pay is mandatory.
